David has 25 years of experience in helping companies grow and succeed in a variety of industries. As the leading regional expert in experience-based learning, David leads a team that works with some of the nation’s largest brands—such as Procter & Gamble and Kroger to name just a few—to help them double the effectiveness of their current training programs. By understanding how adults actually learn, David can help companies make sure their training programs actually change employee behavior. David is a member of the American Society for Training and Development and Association for Psychological Type. Dave graduated from DePauw University with a B.A. in Psychology.

John Rogers

John has been helping people understand who they are and what they bring to their team for more than 20 years.
As a facilitator and director, he has worked with sales teams, manufacturing management, international ministry leadership teams, educators and administrators, as well as youth in public/private education, therapeutic settings, and Christian camping and conference centers. Some of his clients include Baxter Health Care, Genentech, Superior Modular Products , The Navigators, NC Public Schools…
He has thought at Middle Tennessee State University, Western Carolina University and Montreat College. John’s background includes Director of Community Based Programs SOAR Inc. , Excursions Director Eagle Lake Camp - The Navigators, starting and operating outdoor gear retail and consulting business.
His education includes a B.S. in Aerospace Administration, and a M.S. in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation.

Chuck Fink
Chuck Fink, founder and principle of Ascent Leadership, has been a training consultant since 1981. He served as Vice President of Training for the non-profit Employers Resource Association. Under his leadership, the training function at ERA grew substantially. He created the management, customer service and sales training system for the Talking Yellow Pages, a cooperative venture of Cincinnati Bell and Dun & Bradstreet. He has worked with several hundred employers in conducting in-house programs, public programs and custom organizational consulting. He has 27 years experience as a coach, trainer and training executive.
Chuck's training expertise includes: Executive Development, The Politics of Managing a Board of Directors, Management Training, Supervision Training, Team Leader/Facilitator and Team Training, Interpersonal & Group Communication Skills, Sales Training, Internal/External Customer Service Training, Train-the-Trainer Skills, Behavioral Interviewing, Meeting Facilitation Skills, and Team Problem-Solving. Chuck coaches executives and high potential employees to help individuals achieve personal potential.
He facilitates community advisory panels, business educational alliances, and manager/staff steering teams. He works with senior management to implement strategies for organizational renewal. Chuck assists clients in creating corporate universities, and has served as a consulting chief operating officer.
Chuck holds a BA degree in Business Management from The Union Institute. He is married and has two sons.
Todd Murdock, N.C.C.
Todd brings the dual perspective of an outdoor adventure educator and that of a certified counselor to our team. He has 25 years of work experience with youth and adults in the outdoors as well as the classroom.
His undergraduate degree is in Business Administration, and Master’s of Education degree is in counseling from Western Carolina University. He is a certified instructor trainer for the Wilderness Education Association leading multi-day wilderness and mountaineering programs with young adults. He has guided on many of the rivers in the southeast and led several groups of youth on cross country cycling tours. Todd works everyday with modest income; first-generation college bound students helping them find the resources and desire to go to college.
Todd’s expertise is in the area of leadership. For more that 20 years Todd has been teaching others the art of being a good leader but more importantly the employees that work for Todd say he is a great leader. Todd’s program Western Carolina University Educational Talent Search, is funded by the U.S. Department of Education, and on their last submission the program proposal received a perfect score. He is as creative as he is insightful.

D. Lynn Watts
D. Lynn Watts is an independent and energetic consultant, coach and facilitator with Learn, Lead, Live INC. An experiential facilitator, Lynn has guided groups from 6 to 500 participants from Fortune 1000 companies and not-for-profits. These include, but are not limited to, financial and educational institutions, healthcare, manufacturing, technology, and non-profit organizations.
Lynn is a creative, results-oriented professional who specializes in leadership and team development, coaching, and diversity and inclusion facilitation. She is known for her ability to support and inspire others. Lynn fosters an environment of collaboration to meet business and/or personal goals and objectives. With over fifteen years’ experience in sales and sales management, with Microsoft, the IBM Corporation, and others, Ms. Watts’ expertise includes experiential facilitation, strategic planning, training, career and life coaching, team development and challenge course facilitation. Clients Ms. Watts has worked with include, Campbell Soup, Capital One, Procter and Gamble, Johns Hopkins Medical Center, Leadership Cincinnati, Abercrombie & Fitch, Convergys, Children’s Hospital (Cincinnati and Columbus, OH) and a host of others.
Lynn holds a BA in Business Administration from the College of Mount St. Joseph, is a certified administrator and interpreter of the Herrmann International Whole Brain (HBDI) thinking and communicating assessment tool, and a matriculating graduate student at Xavier University (May 2009).
Jeff Curtis
Prior to launching, Curtis Wright Outfitters in March 2003, Jeff worked as an independent fly fishing guide and instructor in Western North Carolina and an innkeeper at Sourwood Inn, a thirteen room inn on 100 acres of land in Asheville, NC. As part of the design and development team at Sourwood Inn, Jeff was instrumental in creating an outdoor-oriented atmosphere, blending a rustic feel with the amenities of a luxury inn. His responsibilities as innkeeper included advertising, bookkeeping, and guest relations.
Prior to inn keeping, Jeff worked at two psychiatric facilities, Park Ridge Hospital in Fletcher, NC and Marshall Pickens in Greenville, SC. While employed at these institutions, he worked with other team members to create and implement a comprehensive treatment program. Jeff has also served as Director of Programs at Project SOAR, a wilderness-based therapeutic recreation program near Waynesville, NC. His responsibilities included leading team building exercises and ropes course elements, as well as developing and implementing group initiatives. Jeff also served as partner and manager in a multi-store chain of clothing stores in Florida. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Furman University.
